FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Flanagan, IL
—In a check presentation ceremony on Monday, November 25, 2019, Flanagan State Bank formally provided a sponsorship for a major update to the playground space at the El Paso-Gridley Centennial campus. The Centennial campus for third and fourth graders will now have a fitness course playground that offers obstacle style stations.

“Centennial students and staff are excited to partner with Flanagan State Bank in our new playground venture,” said Tim Fairchild, Centennial Principal. “El Paso-Gridley students will be positively impacted by FSB’s generosity for years to come.”

The playground will be created in partnership with the City of El Paso, which will install the equipment. The installation is weather dependent, but should be completed in the next few months, allowing students to enjoy the new playground by spring.

“Flanagan State Bank is thrilled to be able to sponsor the new Centennial playground and help provide this wonderful benefit to the children in our community,” said Audrey Harlan, President of Flanagan State Bank. “We have enjoyed becoming a part of the community of El Paso over the past twenty years, and in Gridley more recently. We’re grateful for the opportunity to make this investment and we’re looking forward to the countless hours the children in our community will have to play, grow and explore in this new playground space.”
