Flanagan State Bank was founded in 1913 and has been family-owned since Hank Schwerin became involved in the 1930’s. Opened in 2023, you can find our Belgrade office at 11 W Main Street, Suite 104. When you visit us, you can expect to find a beautiful facility with a friendly staff to serve you.

Laura Smith, Office Manager

Laura is a seasoned banking professional with over 24 years of experience. In 2023, she joined Flanagan State Bank, bringing her expertise to serve the financial needs of our community. A proud graduate of Wichita State University, she holds a degree in Finance.

Outside of her professional life, Laura has called Belgrade home for 18 years, where she resides with her husband, Trevor, and two young sons. She takes great pleasure in supporting her children’s sports activities, and you’ll always find her cheering them on from the sidelines. Laura enjoys traveling to visit family and unwinding at the hot springs. She also enjoys engaging in friendly competitions, whether it’s a game of cornhole or an evening of cards.
